Penelope Cruz lends her voice in the new Disney film, G-Force

June 15, 2009 -- Oscar winning actress, Penelope Cruz will be lending her voice in a new animated movie, G-Force which is scheduled to be released this summer.

G-Force, a combination live-action/CGI movie, is a comedy adventure about the latest evolution of a covert government program to train animals to work in espionage. Armed with the latest high-tech spy equipment, these highly trained guinea pigs discover that the fate of the world is in their paws

Cruz will play Juarez, a guinea pig, who is a sexy martial arts pro. Other critter characters will be voiced by Nicolas Cage, Steve Buscemi, Sam Rockwell and Tracy Morgan.

Cruz has starred in several movies like "Volver," "Vanilla Sky," "Sahara," "Blow," "Gothika" and "Woman on Top," but this will be the first time she will be doing the voice in an animated film.

The film is produced by Jerry Bruckheimer for Walt Disney Pictures, and is directed by Hoyt Yeatman.

G-Force is scheduled for release on July 24, 2009.
